This painting was commissioned by a British client living temporarily on Vancouver Island. In anticipation of her return to the UK, this dreamscape was created to serve as a reminder of her life on the island.
The brief was that the composition should contain aspects from four of my other paintings but interestingly, the location itself does not actually exist in reality. Instead, the scene was created using elements that evoke the dreamy life that many appreciate here.
